This workshop considers the Biological/Neurological/Psychological and Social benefits of outdoor Therapy and the responsibilities of the Practitioner conducting this type of therapy.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
To establish if this type of Therapy provision is for you – the Practitioner and whether you can offer this to clients in a safe, contained, confident manner.
• To establish the philosophical roots of Walk and Talk Therapy.
• To consider Walk and Talk Therapy from:
o A Bio Psycho Social perspective.
o A Neuroscience and Trauma based perspective.
• Identify considerations for Safety, Risk Assessments, Boundaries and Contracting.
• Applying this knowledge in a Walk and Talk session to determine personal limits.
• Determine if this methodology is for you as a practitioner.

A background in HR Mgt and Strategic Change, supporting people and organisational development, latterly Supervising Safeguarding teams, Specialist Clinicians, Child and Adult Psychotherapists and Supervisors as well as being Primary Course Tutor at Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy and Co-founder of TACTA.
