UKATA is the largest association and professional body for people interested in and practising Transactional Analysis (TA) within the UK.
Their Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Organisational Consultants and Educators are trained and practise using TA as their modality of choice, and are registered by UKATA. UKATA is a member organisation of the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
As a professional body UKATA monitor standards of competence and ethical practise for both trainee and qualified Transactional Analysts as well as offering a range of services for members. They also monitor Registered Training Establishments (RTEs), who offer TA training leading to UKCP accreditation in the UK.
TACTA include student membership of UKATA within their clinical training course fees. We recommend all students familiarise themselves with UKATA's and EATA's Ethical Framework and guidelines for Professional Practice. Please click on the highlighted links about to take you to the various organisations, where you will find their Ethical Frameworks and Guidelines for Professional Practice.
TACTA Registered students can also access information about professional standards and requirements on TACTA's Google drive. You will receive log in details during your first training weekend.
